| THE BELLAMY BROTHERS |

The
Bellamy Brothers will headline the Higher Degrees
Event on July 3. For more than 35 years, The
Brothers have been an unassuming icon of consistency
in country music -- crafting honest, heartfelt
songs that have connected with millions of listeners
in the 60 countries worldwide through which they've
toured. Howard and David Bellamy's monster hit
from 1976, "Let Your Love Flow," in
2009 received the prestigious BMI Five Million
Performance Award, and was listed No. 68 on BMI's
Top 100 Songs of the Century. Originally from
Darby, FL, The Bellamy Brothers' early career
influences included Percy Sledge and Little Anthony
and the Imperials. They spent much of the early
1970s around the blossoming country-rock scene
in Atlanta, then moved to the West Coast and
recorded "Let Your Love Flow" in '76.
The song was a smash in both North America and
Europe, shooting to the top of the pop charts
on both sides of the Atlantic and helping establish
an international fan base that still eagerly
awaits the Bellamys' annual overseas tour. Their
other top country-rock hits have included "If
I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold
It Against Me)," "Sugar Daddy," "Dancin'
Cowboys," "Do You Love As Good As You
Look," "When I'm Away From You," "Old
Hippie," "Kids of the Baby Boom," "Too
Much Is Not Enough," and "I Could Be
Persuaded." |
